About

We know the infant and toddler are in their Sensitive Period for Motor Development, and also for Social Interaction, due to this, we notice that most toddlers will naturally will want to try what they see older children and adults doing. This "desire" is an enormous drive, energy that really can be harnessed, and that is how the "Inner Teacher" gets her Amazing Results in just 3 years! The body wants to move, so we offer a variety of activities for this eager infant/toddler to begin engaging in life. Infants: We begin by releasing the swaddle, and daily Tummy Time to strengthen the body getting ready to actively participation in life. Every action teaches them something, the more you do, the more you learn is how it adds up, so busy is good. "Tummy Time" is important for proper infant development, there are many ways to engage the infant with opportunities while on his/her tummy..... every day until it becomes easy.... inviting crawling. Walkers & Climbers: We start out looking, talking about what we want to do, just do things as if you were a small stature child, carefully demonstrate "hold on", step one by one up the ladder, then down the slide. We assist them holding and taking each step the first time, they get the feel of successful sliding. Next time we only assist if they aren't "safe", we help them discover managing the weight of their own body while climbing. They soon become independent, and practice makes perfect, works here. After a few "introductions", the young toddler takes off, perusing activity and physical challenges. I keep a balance beam, and climbing or jumping activity available indoors if possible. Agile 2+: Toddlers are now 24/7 Potty Trained. They are Actually Useful "Kitchen Assistants", and leaders in the mixed age group. They are also "thinkers", and can alert the Adult of Mischief or Problems, sometimes suggest ideas and solutions that really work. Freedom to Move, follow ideas, Freedom to Develop OUR Individuality.
