Maria Montessori discovered a few things over 100 years ago,
Infants & Toddlers do not need an electronic "Busy Box" to reach their full potential.
What they do need is:
-
a prepared environment to safely explore and discover,
-
appropriate guidance and
-
models for language, and careful use of the materials provided.
The Loving and Knowledgable Adults can prepare an appropriate environment
for them to Explore and Master :)
Let me show you where to begin.

Montessori observed that young children are "Sensorial Explorers".
This is what we also see in every infant on earth.
We see infants determined handle and mouth everything within reach.
They are learning through their sensorial exploration!
When we Respect this, we ALLOW the child to DEVELOP fully, Adults monitor SAFETY.

Discovering the "Joy of Work" at an early age

My Journey with Infant/Toddler Montessori
Hello, I'm Denise an AMI Montessori Assistant to Infancy, class of 2003.
As my daughter entered a Montessori Primary program (3-6 yrs), I discovered
a Montessori Toddler Community at that school. So fascinated to learn about Montessori for this younger age group, that I enrolled in the AMI Montessori Infant-Toddler training!
Through this website, I hope to share with parents and caretakers,
the "Secret Sauce" of Infant/Toddler Montessori in the Home.

Where and Why do I Begin?
It might look easy from the photos, but there is a lot of preparation involved. Specific materials, sequence of introduction, and guidance are critical. Proven to enable a group of up to 12-18 mixed age toddlers to Thrive. Happily engaged and busy all day, meals, naps (no screen time at all), with just a bit of noise & occasional chaos. Through understanding the Montessori Method, you too can raise a cheerful busy and kind toddler. The goal being balanced development, with their full potential uncompromised.
There is a tragedy of LOST POTENTIAL going on in today's world, social media pulling our teens away from participating fully in life. Not to mention the tragedy of drugs and loss of life.
Loving parents work hard, aiming to raise resilient confident individuals. I offer this website as a First Step; gifting your child access to Montessori's Education from Birth. I hope you join me in this journey!
